Ohanaeze Unveils Strategic Engagement Report for Ndigbo Development

Date:

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has formally received the report of the Igbo Charter of Strategic Engagement for National Development at its National Secretariat in Enugu.

The National Publicity Secretary of the organisation, Ezechi Chukwu, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday in Enugu.

Chukwu said the report was prepared by a committee chaired by Kingsley Moghalu.

He said other members of the committee present at the submission were Igwe Lawrence Agubuzo, the first deputy chairman, and Chief Enyinnaya Onokala, secretary of the committee.

According to him, the report was received by the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Azuta Mbata, alongside members of the Global Executive Council during its official session on Thursday.

Presenting the report, Moghalu thanked the President-General and the council for the confidence reposed in the committee.

He described the assignment as historic and reflective of the Igbo worldview within the Nigerian context.

Moghalu said the report also contained a special compendium titled “Igbo Builders”, documenting the contributions of 125 late Igbo leaders from different fields whose legacies contributed to the development of Ndigbo and Nigeria.

He also commended members of the committee for their dedication and commitment throughout the assignment.

Chukwu quoted Mbata as commending the committee for what he described as an outstanding, patriotic and visionary effort.

The Ohanaeze president-general assured the committee that the recommendations contained in the report would receive due attention and contribute to the advancement of Ndigbo and national development.
