Anambra State Government has said that it is not true that the newly constructed Ekwulobia Flyover Bridge has been “suspended” from public use and marked for demolition due to alleged “structural cracks.”

In a press release signed by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Christian Aburime, Anambra State goverbment said The Ekwulobia Flyover Bridge, which is due to be officially commissioned later this month, is a world-class infrastructure project that has been constructed to the highest international standards. “The bridge has undergone rigorous quality assurance tests and structural integrity assessments by certified engineers and relevant regulatory authorities, all of which confirm that the structure is safe, sound, and fit for public use”, the government stated.

This legacy project, which comprises a 300-metre long flyover spanning from Nanka to Uga, a modern bus terminal,  approximately four adjoining roads and special lighting, represents a transformative investment in the infrastructure needs of our people.

The long-awaited Ekwulobia Flyover is truly a sight to behold and will serve as a critical link connecting communities, dramatically reducing travel time, enhancing road safety, and spurring economic development across the region.
